I do not feel comfortable going into public detail but this show was the only one that kept me going. I have done a little research and saw that there is a possibility of no Season 10 due to Emmy backing out.
To be 'Frank', that's not reason to give up. Emmy's character was relevant for about 4 seasons. Her claim to fame is having an inability to have solid relationships and that she wants to do something with her apartment complex.
Basically; she is no longer a heavy "need" for the show to function. The Gallagher crew have grown up and are now involved in their own lives.
As well as V and Kev. I remember very much watching the actor who plays Kev on 'Reba' when my son was first born and I was dealing with heavy post partom depression.
He has shown his chops in playing different characters and personas. He and V are extremely compelling cast members and definitely deserve even a show of their own; I'd watch it!
I only hope, as someone currently battling some extremely bad times that us fans can be allowed at least one more season. Make it an even 10 and go out with a 10 bang.

Do the writers not remember Fiona crying in front of the judge begging to be her siblings legal guardian? She has just moved on leaving Liam to fend for himself?
And the writers have no idea what to do with Kevin and Vee. They gave us a stupid storyline about Kevin wanting to adopt a son. Kevin already has a son with Vee's mom when they thought she could not get pregnant.
Have the writers forgotten about him, we never see him. And Fiona's departure makes no sense. She is leaving her family She received a large sum of money which she gave half to her family to go off to the unknown, alone.
The writers did not bother to give her leaving any meaning. The writers should have given us more for a main character leaving. Very disappointing season and finale.
Shameless is one of those shows that not only can maintain interest but actually gets better over time. I love the evolution of characters and really enjoy watching little Liam come into his own.

I don't mind about the availability for the English for the hearing impaired subtitles when you ALSO have the choice for the usual English subtitles as well.

This world is getting so PC it's incredible. Now the subtitles for the hearing impaired are becoming the norm, I think that's just lazy and wrong.
I know it's not PC to say or write that but that's what I think, I'm sorry. As I am French, I usually buy the German editions of "Shameless" mainly for the french subtitles but for Season 9, and I can't figure out why, they stopped putting the french subtitles on the German editions DVD.
So when I saw here that the US version had the french subtitles on, I said "great, I'll buy this edition then". But then, BAM, no french subtitles.
I won't demand refund or anything because I can read English but I like to watch this show with people who can't so really, Amazon, you need to set this straight and be absolutely right for those specs for future releases or I will never ever buy on US Amazon again.
As for the "Shameless" TV series, it's great as always that's why I put 4 stars to this review. Without spoiling too much, I'll just say that 2 stars of the show are going to leave the show this season but they are both given proper sendoffs.

He may be desperate for sex but he has so much emotion. He gets hurt, he cries but god does he care about his family and friends.
