Laird, despite being ridiculously wealthy, is a genuine, honest, and thoughtful person. I found him to be completely delightful. Yes, there's a bit of predictability, sophomoric humor, sexual antics, and there's a lot of general silliness, but it's a comedy: An R rated comedy.
I saw it in the theaters and I bought a copy to watch from time to time. I find it to be a real spirit lifter which comes in really handy these days.
If you want a silly laugh with some charming, wholesome characters, this should be a good fit. If you're offended by F-bombs, sexual innuendo, and gallons of elk piss it's part of an art piece , you're not going to like it.
